Nautical Notebook with Double V

We are back at the Keeper's café in Dipton again.

This time we will decorate an A5 notebook while enjoying one of their most delicious cakes. This is the perfect beginner workshop to experience Powertex. We will teach you, step by step, how to create a beautiful A5 notebook, using bronze or black Powertex. You will decorate your book with different textiles, lace and embellishments. You have a choice out of many steam punk, dragons, fairies, sea life, florals, unicorns, fairies, skulls and many more. If you have a theme in mind please let us know before the workshop and most possible we can accommodate your request. After the books have dried, the magic begins when you add colour to your unique book with colour pigments of your choice using the dry brushing technique. This brings your book to life and it's the most excited stage in the whole process.

This workshop is aimed for adults and children over the age of 11. If your child is younger but would like to make a notebook we require that an adult is helping them. This workshop cost ££23.50 + £5 deposit required to secure your place.

All materials, cake and coffee/tea are included. We will provide you with an apron and gloves but please wear old clothes because Powertex is a textile hardener and spillages maybe won’t come out.

If you would like to book a place please contact the café directly 01207 570112 or bring them a visit to secure your place and try some of their home cook food and cakes. Everything is yummy.
